100 posts!

Wow, I can hardly believe that i actually reached double figures, now I am writing my 100th post!

Todays thought: Do you cut or not?

Reading some of the blogs of my craft buddies, it would appear that unlike me they have no hesitation about cutting into a full 12x12 sheet of patterned paper. And you know what....their pages are all the better for it.

I on the other hand struggle with making that first snip. Ofcourse, once the courage is plucked all bets are off and it doesnt matter if i need a small piece or a bigger section, a circle or a star shape...anything is allowed because it is already cut into.

So how do you go about galvanising for that first snip?

Do you work out the price of the sheet? Does it depreciate with age or does that make it more precious?
Do you balance compromising the full sheet with buying another newer one?

What works for you?

Congratulations on your 100 post, Caroline! I'm not sure I even noted mine - shame on me :( I used to have problems cutting into 12 x 12s but not any more. If I need just a bit then that's fine - I'll always find a use for the leftovers sometime. If you really hate cutting into a page why not do what some do and buy 2 pages at the same time - one to cut into and one to just stroke and admire :) Can't afford to do it myself but I believe a lot of crafters out there do. Hope you are keeping well. Elizabeth x

CONGRATS on 100! I'm hoping to hit 300 by my 3rd anniversary next month. I am a cutter, If it's what my eye sees for a card or matting or part of an embellishment, I cut. Now I do pull back occasionally when I pick a piece that I know I bought with a specific layout in mind (which obviously I haven't done yet @@) and most of the time I don't cut those.
