A long time no see...well I saw, I just didn't post my own little piece of chaos on the blog of loveliness that is Julia's domain.

We moved in to our new home 20th Dec, so crafting has been usurped by DIY and trying to settle Little Miss A into a new house and a new routine. None of which has been entirely successful....YET!! I'm calling them works in progress.

So as to my workspace....normally it's called a coffee table, but for the moment it suffices my crafty urges. I am working on a project for next Christmas, but only cos time overtook me on this year.

Glitter, spray glue and a wipeable table cloth (well it is a new coffee table)...and we went from this bland version

to this lovely sparkly glittery version

Mum loves them now, she hangs her favourite baubles from them but they did look a wee bit bland on the mantle piece at Christmas this year. Next year they will be all shiny and bright.

Hope you all have a lovely crafty wednesday and join in the fun.

Hi, thanks for the warm welcome, my 1st official time at WOYWW. I'll come back again...will motivate me to get better organized. Loved your crafty coffee table, and enjoyed reading about who you are. Oh I do sympathesize with you being far from your family, and missing them. I had a terrible time just leaving the daughter in Fla, and traveling some 600 miles north. (I'm a big wimp too!) Your DIY on the glitter container was so pretty, and how clever to think to do it. Will be back again, and look forward to seeing the crafty projects you will post. You'll get settled in your new place, it just takes time. Thanks again for making me welcome.

Thanks for peeking at my desk and leaving such a nice comment. Looks like you have some really pretty new paper packs to create with! Cute bauble hanger too.

Moving just before Christmas?? Wow, you're brave! I hope it all went smoothly with no hitches, the settling in always takes time, doesn't it?
I'm so glad to see you on the blogs again, funnily enough was thinking about you the other day when a tv programme had someone Scottish who had married a Turkish bloke! Hope the transition back has been ok. I'll definitely put you down in the draw :)

What a great idea Caroline, love that -I've a handful of wonderful baubles that deserve showcasing like that...genius inspiration! glad to read that you're in and settling..routine is incredibly difficult to find in amongst all the new and the jobs isn't it, hope its more settling as each day goes by.

Hi Caroline! Well, I got here eventually, only a whole week late!

I'm with Julia, and I think that we all have baubles that require a bit of showing off cos they're special (not least the ones we've made ourselves) and I really like what you've so will be looking around for some way of displaying my own away from the tree this year. Just gives me an excuse to use more of our hoard of baubles on the tree.... I kid you not....

Thanks for stopping by last week, congrats on the move to the new house, hope you get A settled into her new routine without too much more fuss, and..... Happy New Year!
